Being in the holiday spirit, our team is reminded how managing forklift fleets can be akin to the timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. In the narrative, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner — Jacob Marley, and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. After their visits, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.

Our team constantly and consistently visits customers to address the various spirits of their forklift fleets:

  • The Ghost of Christmas-Forklift Past represents memory. With site surveys and financial audits, we review past events to create a baseline and shed light on where improvements are possible, reminding them that each asset is unique and on its own life cycle.
  • The Ghost of Christmas-Forklift Present represents generosity and good will. Outside of strategic decisions and planning, it is still important to collect the pertinent data from the equipment, share best practices throughout the organization, and report on key performance metrics. Our software, Propellr, puts this data at your fingertips and allows insight, sharing, and collaboration for future initiatives and best practices.
  • The Ghost of Christmas-Forklift Future represents what is yet to come. In the classic story, Scrooge is fearful of death; however, regarding forklifts, the future is often murky and unspecified as other priorities precede them. All assets eventually reach the end of their economic life. Continuing in the current fashion is not sustainable, action must be taken. With the information gathered from Past and Present, we can make educated, tactical choices on how to procure new equipment and dispose of the existing to better define what the future holds.

Throughout a multi-phase implementation, customers are transformed with the knowledge, guidance, and tools to improve their material handling equipment fleets. Contact us to discuss your 2021 transformation. Until then, Happy Holidays!
